The chief marketing officer for the parent company of fast-casual Habit Burger Grill has resigned, the company announced today.
Matt Hood, who has been with The Habit Restaurants since 2014, is leaving “to pursue another opportunity,” Russ Bendel, the company’s president and CEO, said in a statement. The company did not provide details on Hood’s new job.
“In the more than three and a half years that he has been with The Habit, Matt has shown tremendous dedication, loyalty and passion for our brand, our customers and our team members, and we wish him the best in his new endeavor,” Bendel said.
Hood previously served as chief marketing officer for BJ’s Restaurants from 2008 to 2014.
His move marks the second high-profile CMO departure this week. Chipotle’s CMO Mark Crumpacker tendered his resignation Wednesday. Crumpacker’s last day with the company was Thursday.
